The airport shuttle bus service named Joker Bus departs from the airport to the city every 30 minutes. The bus stop is located between Terminal A and Terminal B at Zurich Airport. Guests can tell the driver the name of the hotel and they will stop in front of the Helmhaus Hotel. No reservation required. The drive into town takes about 20 minutes, with the price for one passenger at CHF 19, two passengers at CHF 25. The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways Station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland. Helmhaus Station is 100 metres from the hotel. Taxis can be found outside terminals A and B; fare to city centre is approximately 50 CHF (€35). The bus terminal is located adjacent to car park B; ten regular bus lines serve regional towns and villages.

Driving directions: From the airport, follow the signs coming into the city for the lake, Rapperswil and Bellevue. At the Bellevueplatz, follow the signs for Limmatquai, and drive north until the bookstore called Romanica. Here, turn on to the Schifflaendeplatz, drive around it and look out for yellow/brown signs for the hotel.

Zurich is an eminently walkable city, while the public transport system of trams, buses and boats is very reliable and easy to use.
