All suites offer kitchens comprising microwaves, full-sized refrigerators, four-ring cooktops, ovens, dishwashers, and sinks. The dining tables seat four guests, and ample chinaware/cutlery is available (with additional sets on request). The living areas feature double sofa beds, side tables, lamps, and coffee tables. Recreation

Recreational facilities are concentrated on level 7, where guests will find the 15-metre pool heated to 28°C. Half of the pool is under cover, and there is an adjoining sundeck and spa (heated to 30°C). A fitness room is also provided with standard equipment such as a treadmill, bike, cross trainer, multi-weight station, and rowing machine. The pool and fitness room are open from early morning until late evening.

One block away is Chatswood park and rugby oval, with a children’s playground and skateboard ramp.

The Chatswood Golf Club is within 3 km; members of the public can play by making a booking.

Tennis courts are accessible to the public at The Tennis Centre, within 5 km.

There is a public boat launching ramp at Roseville Bridge, within 5 km.

Property Amenities

Mirvac-managed, The Sebel was refurbished in 2006, and occupies part of a residential and office block comprising 28 floors in Chatswood central business district. The hotel is smoke-free. All guestrooms are suites, and public facilities include a heated pool, fitness centre, sauna, spa tub, and valet grocery service (surcharge of AU$20). Hotel security is taken seriously, with lifts requiring the swipe of an electronic key card to operate. Guest access is limited to the public recreational and meeting facilities on level 7, and the floor of their assigned suite.

Getting there:The easiest routes from the airport to The Sebel Residence Chatswood are by taxi or limousine/shuttle bus transfer. Train travel is only recommended for those with limited luggage. Car rentals are available online. Click the links below for instructions/details.

Train schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): From Sydney airport (both the domestic and international terminals) take the Airport and East Hills line into Central Station. Change platforms to the North Shore Line. Check the indicator board to make sure the train is going as far as Chatswood station. From the station, disembark on the eastern (or main shopping centre side) of the station, and proceed down the main pedestrian-only plaza. Take the first street off to the right (Victor Street), and the hotel reception is approximately 100 metres on the right, just past Chatswood Post Office and behind Mezze Café.

Driving directions from Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport: Follow the “city” signs from the airport via General Holmes Drive, where the Eastern Distributor tunnel commences. Take this (toll) road, and after approximately 1.7 km pass through toll booths (charge of AU$4.50 will be collected), and follow the Harbour Crossing signs through the Sydney Harbour Tunnel. After emerging, with North Sydney central business district visible on the left, proceed up the Bradfield Highway, following the signs to Chatswood.

Dining

While there are no restaurants within The Sebel Residence, reception staff can make arrangements for Continental breakfast baskets to be delivered to guest suites for a surcharge The hotel also has charge-back arrangements with several restaurants (all within 0.5 km). In addition, there is a “delivery mate” service provided in conjunction with a wide range of nearby restaurants. Guests simply order from the menus provided in each suite, and their meal of choice is then delivered to the hotel. The property does not have its own restaurant, but there are several dining options within the surrounding area.
