Hotel Information: Nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac 200 m (219 yd) from Whistler’s vibrant Village Square, the Adara is a favorite of couples. The lobby’s red-vinyl sofas rest on a huge circular rug; in the rear of the room is a roaring hearth framed by granite stonework. The reception desk features granite countertops, black marble, and subdued lighting.
Amenity highlights: The Adara’s outdoor spa tub is open year-round, and its 10-m (11-yd) outdoor pool is open in summer; both feature views of the surrounding mountains. Ski storage, 24-hour concierge service, and secure underground valet parking are also available. Pets are welcome, free of charge.
Insider tip: Biologists estimate that about 50 black bears live within the ski-area boundaries. On most clear summer days, guests on the Adara’s pool deck can spot bears foraging on the slopes above the Village.

The Adara has 20 guestrooms and 21 suites. All units offer electric faux-fire fireplaces mounted in cabinetry above the floor. Also included are 27-inch flat-screen TVs, MP3 stereo docks, bedside sound machines, complimentary high-speed and wireless Internet access, CD players/clocks, and organic toiletries.
Most Superior King/Queen rooms connect to other Superior accommodations.

Skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, and gondola rides are available at the base of Whistler/Blackcomb, a 600-m (656-yd) walk from the hotel. The Whistler Golf Club across the street has an Arnold Palmer-designed, par 72. 18-hole course and a driving range.

The Adara Hotel opened its doors in January 2006, less than 200 m (219 yd) from the dozens of restaurants, bars, galleries, and shops of Whistler Village. Hotel staff provide valet parking, 24-hour concierge service, and ski storage. A year-round outdoor spa tub provides a scenic soak for tired skiers, hikers, walkers, and shoppers.
