Recreation
L'Enfant Plaza Hotel's rooftop pool is open-air in summer and domed and heated during the colder months, allowing for year-round recreation. A fitness center provides exercise equipment, weights, aerobic classes, and personal-training services (on request).
A half-mile from the hotel, Tidal Basin Paddle Boats rents two- and four-person boats for viewing the Jefferson Memorial and Japanese cherry trees from the basin's calm waters. Boats are available from late morning through early evening, seven days a week, from March 15 through Labor Day and limited days and hours post-Labor Day, weather permitting.

This D.C. hotel is named for one of Washington's city planners, Pierre Charles L'Enfant, and is just two blocks from the Smithsonian Castle, U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Air and Space Museum.

The L'Enfant Plaza Hotel hosts a Jazz Night Happy Hour with live music each Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM in the Lobby Lounge. Tapas and more than 50 specialty martinis are available (complimentary admission; surcharge for tapas and drinks). Right off the lobby, down into the lower level of the hotel, is the promenade to the Metro, where four of the five city lines run.
