Hotel Information: Tourotel Mariahilf dates its origins to 1706, when owners of a country home on the site set aside a room for guests and began offering straw mattresses, blankets, and pillows to guests. The current building was constructed in the 19th century and most recently renovated in 2002.
Amenity highlights: The two-level wood-panelled lobby lounge features brass chandeliers, potted plants, and street-view windows, and offers a relaxed setting for guests to plan their days. The lounge includes an Internet kiosk (surcharge) and a self-serve coffee-espresso machine (surcharge). Front desk staff can provide complimentary maps and advice on attractions.
Insider tip: A good place to find a tour bus is in front of the Vienna Opera House. To get to the Opera House, take train U-3 from the Westbanhnhof underground station 500 metres from the hotel, get off at the Volkstheater station, walk 200 metres straight ahead on Bellariastrasse, turn right on Burgring, and walk 500 metres to the Opera House.

Hire bicycles are stationed outside underground stations, including the Westbanhnhof station 500 metres from the hotel.
