Hotel Information: Rising 26 stories along Robson Street, the Westin makes a dramatic statement with its distinctive shape reminiscent of a grand piano. The architecture befits the hotel’s entertainment-district location, adjacent to the Centre for Performing Arts, three blocks from theaters, and four blocks from the Vancouver Art Gallery. Inside, a grand staircase leads to the main lobby, with marble floors, inviting sofas and chairs, and abundant fresh flowers and plants.
Insider tip: Both the Centre for Performing Arts, adjacent to the hotel, and the Vancouver Public Library/Library Square, across the street, were created by internationally acclaimed contemporary architect Moshe Safdie.
Rooms
This 26-story Vancouver hotel offers 207 suites decorated in a chic contemporary style with a subdued color palette. All have separate living rooms. Kitchenettes contain convection microwaves, minibars/compact refrigerators, toasters, dishwashers, dishes, cookware, and coffeemakers with Starbucks coffee.
Suites feature Westin’s signature Heavenly Bed: custom-designed, 10-inch-thick pillowtop mattress; 250-thread-count sheets; duvet; and five pillows. Suites also include the Heavenly Bath: dual showerhead with multiple spray options, curved shower rod for extra room, bathrobes and slippers, and oversized bath towels.
