Vancouver International Airport (YVR): Approximate driving time to the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa is 25 minutes and distance is 12. 8 km (8 miles).

Driving directions from Vancouver International Airport: Follow Grant McConachie Way over the Arthur Laing Bridge. After the bridge, exit onto Granville St and proceed until W 16th Ave. Turn left onto W 16th and then turn right onto Burrard St. Cross the Burrard St Bridge and continue for 5 blocks. Hotel is on the left.

Getting there: The Airporter shuttle drops off at the Century Plaza Hotel & Spa for single fares in the range of C$5–$15 one way. Metered taxis can be quicker, with fares of C$16–$25. Rental cars and limousines are more than C$36. Fees subject to change without notice. Rental cars are available from this Web site.

Getting around: The hotel’s downtown location allows guests to walk to plenty of shopping, dining, nightlife, arts, and entertainment choices within a radius of several blocks. Walking south down Burrard leads to the Aquatic Centre where small ferries pick up passengers to travel to spots around False Creek, including the Granville Island Public Market and Science World. Most single fares are less than C$5. Walking, blading, biking, and jogging are also favorite ways of accessing the south end of Stanley Park’s SeaWall from the Aquatic Centre. Plenty of bus routes run through the area, and the Burrard SkyTrain station is 4 blocks away, offering light rapid transit to suburban communities. SkyTrains connect to the SeaBus station offering catamaran passenger service to North Vancouver. Public bus, SkyTrain, and SeaBus fares run less than C$5. One-way streets can make downtown driving confusing for first-time visitors, but driving is generally smooth and the best way to travel from the city up the coast or to the islands.
