Travel Details

Highlands Lodge

Hotel Information: Off a meandering road at the base of the mountain, this lodge attracts affluent travelers—lawyers, stockbrokers, and business execs—looking for a slightly out-of-the-way retreat with easy access to the slopes and village. Guests enter through an atrium to a wide, winding staircase that ascends to the lobby, which features a stone, wood-burning fireplace; leather sofa and chairs; and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Amenity highlights: Skiers and snowboarders access the slopes via the Highlands Lift, located behind the lodge, and return using the skiway that swoops through the property, and leads to a storage area with shoe cubbies, boot warmers, and private lockers. Guests stroll a quarter-mile to the village or take the free 24-hour shuttle. Other perks include heated underground parking, a swimming pool, hot tubs, and access to a nearby resort’s spa and health club.

Insider tip: The “mountain welcome tour” is a 2.5-hour, guided orientation to Beaver Creek Mountain, presented at 10 AM daily. Guests who wish to participate, to learn more about the area and its offerings and make the most of a visit here, should meet at the “Information” sign at the top of the Centennial Express (Lift #6).
