Recreation

The hotel contains a complimentary fitness center with treadmills, stationary bikes, dumbbells , and strength-training machines.

The perimeter of the Imperial Gardens is a popular jogging course (distance: 6 km/3.8 miles). On Sundays only, bicycles can be rented at the entrance to the gardens, located across the street from the hotel. Hotel guests may also use the fitness club and pool of Grancise, located 1.2 km (0.8 miles) away in the Nomura Building, at a rate of JPY3,150 (US$27) per day. Facilities at Grancise include a golf driving range, and sauna. Golf lessons are available for an additional fee.

Property Amenities

The 389-room Palace Hotel’s lobby features a large meeting area, with upholstered armchairs and wooden tables. A fitness room and business center are found on the ground floor, and the building also houses numerous ballrooms, conference rooms, and restaurants. The basement level contains a shopping arcade with a beauty salon, barber shop, drugstore, tailor, and jewelry and ceramics stores.

Complimentary parking for hotel guests is provided in a monitored carpark under the building.

The hotel houses a one-room business center with rental computers, Internet access, copy, fax, typing, translation, and interpretation services. Tokyo International Airport Narita (NRT): Approximate travel time is 1 hour 30 minutes and distance is 58 km (36.2 miles).

Getting there: Guests can take the Airport Limousine Bus from the airport directly to the Palace Hotel. Alternatively, they may take the train from the airport station to Tokyo Station, then walk four blocks to the hotel. They can also proceed by taxi. Train schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): The JR Narita Express travels from the airport train station to Tokyo Station 37 times daily. The first train departs from the airport at 7:42 AM, the last departs at 9:43 PM. From Tokyo Station, guests should proceed by the connected underpass to the Tokyo Metro Otemachi Station. On exiting Otemachi Station they should continue going straight from the top of the stairs at exit C13b. The Palace Hotel is the next building on the left. The lobby is accessed from the exterior breezeway.
Guests should enter the Tokyo Metro Otemachi Station by entrance C13b and proceed by the connected underpass to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, the JR Narita Express travels to the airport 38 times daily. The first train departs from Tokyo Station at 6:30 AM, the last departs at 8:03 PM.

Instructions: Taxis leave from outside the arrival area on the first floor. Fixed fare taxis are provided by the Narita International Airport Taxi Council. At the designated fixed fare taxi stand, a concierge will direct travelers to the first available cab. Guests should ask the driver to stop at the Palace Hotel, near the Imperial Palace.

Wadakura - Elegant Japanese restaurant serving sushi, tempura, and sukiyaki for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Seating at tables or counters in open areas featuring framed Japanese wall art and alcoves with floral arrangements, or in private rooms with tatami-reed flooring ringing a stone-floored courtyard with fountain. Swan - Bright, upscale Western-style restaurant. Bay windows with view of Imperial Gardens and surrounding moat. Tables with cloth tablecloths. Fountain in entryway. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Crown Restaurant - Formal French restaurant located on 10th floor with views of Imperial Gardens and Tokyo Tower. Interior features velvet-upholstered chairs and lighting from chandeliers. Open for lunch and dinner.

Royal Bar - Classic-style bar with wooden walls and counter. Seating at stools along counter or at tables with red leather-upholstered chairs. Full bar, specializes in martinis. Open afternoons and nights on weekdays, nights only on weekends.

Humming - Casual Western-style restaurant. Counter or table seating. Wide selection of beers. Serves dessert buffet on weekends. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Asuka - Teppanyaki restaurant serving beef and seafood cooked on flat grills in front of customers. Seating in formal room with wooden counter, or casual room with tile counter and tables. Open for lunch and dinner.

Zuilin - Formal Chinese restaurant. Full-course meals or à-la-carte items. Mirrored walls and potted plants. Optional private rooms feature Chinese wood carvings, and round tables with Lazy Susans. Open for lunch and dinner.

Crown Lounge - Formal 10th floor lounge with view of Imperial Gardens and Tokyo Tower. Serves alcoholic and soft drinks afternoons and nights. Jacket required for gentlemen on weekdays. Children under 10 not admitted.

Ivy House - Cozy pub restaurant with brick walls and entryway fountain. Seating at tables, booths, or counters. Serves curries for lunch, Western-style pub food at dinner.

Royal Lounge - Relaxed lobby lounge with bay windows offering view of Imperial gardens and surrounding moat. Serves light meals, snacks, and drinks for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Palace Bakery - Bakery selling sandwiches, bread, and cakes for take-out only. Open from morning to night.
