Recreation

The hotel has an on-site fitness club (surcharge for access) with treadmills, stationary bikes, dumbbells, and strength-training machines. Personal trainers are available, as are yoga and dance classes. The fitness club also houses an indoor pool and spa tub (guests under 18 and those with tattoos are not permitted in the pool/spa tub). Massage and gambanyoku-style heated stone skin therapies are also available. Surcharges apply for all classes and spa treatments.

Property Amenities

The 180-room Dai-Ichi Hotel Annex lobby is fronted by a glass wall providing a view of the street outside. Leather sofas and soft light floor lamps are found in the meeting area, along with a large abstract sculpture. A fitness club (surcharge for access) with yoga classes and indoor pool is available, along with massage, and heated stone skin therapy. Two conference rooms are located on the hotel’s third floor.

Policies

Important registration notice: The Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare requires all international visitors to submit their passport number and nationality when registering at any lodging facility (inns, hotels, motels, etc.). Additionally, lodging proprietors are required to photocopy passports for all registering guests and keep the photocopy on file.

Check-in time is currently 1 PM, but will change to 2 PM in April 2007.

Tokyo International Airport Narita (NRT) Approximate travel time is 2 hours and distance is 58 km (36.2 miles).

Getting there: Travelers are advised to take the Airport Limousine Bus from the airport to the Dai-Ichi Hotel and walk two blocks to the Dai-Ichi Hotel Annex. Alternatively, travelers may take the train from the airport station to Shimbashi Station, then walk three blocks to the hotel. Schedule and directions (subject to change without notice): The airport limousine bus travels from the airport to the Dai-Ichi Hotel 10 times daily. The first bus departs from the airport-area stop at 7:05 AM, the last bus departs at 4:35 PM. The Dai-Ichi Hotel Annex is across the street to the north from the Dai-Ichi Hotel. Travel time and bus schedules subject to change without notice.
From the Dai-Ichi Hotel Annex, cross the street to the south to arrive at the Dai-Ichi Hotel airport limousine bus stop. A bus travels from the Dai-Ichi Hotel to the airport nine times daily. The first bus departs from the hotel at 7:35 AM, the last bus departs at 5:05 PM.

Train schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): The JR Narita Express travels from the airport train station to Tokyo Station 37 times daily. The first train departs from the airport at 7:42 AM, the last departs at 9:43 PM. From Tokyo Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote line and get off at Shimbashi Station. Exit Shimbashi Station by the Hibiya-side Exit and proceed to the right. After two blocks, the Dai-Ichi Hotel can be seen on the left side of the street. Continue walking in the same direction. The Dai-Ichi Hotel Annex is located one block past the Dai-Ichi Hotel, also on the left side of the street.
Take the JR Yamanote Line from Shimbashi Station to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, the JR Narita Express travels to the airport 38 times daily. The first train departs from Tokyo Station at 6:30 AM, the last departs at 8:03 PM.

Instructions: Taxis leave from outside the arrival area on the first floor. Fixed fare taxis are provided by the Narita International Airport Taxi Council. At the designated fixed fare taxi stand, a concierge will direct travelers to the first available cab. Ask the driver to stop at Shimbashi Station’s Hibiya-side exit. Proceed north. After two blocks, the Dai-Ichi Hotel can be seen on the left side of the street. Continue walking in the same direction. The Dai-Ichi Annex Hotel is located one block past the Dai-Ichi Hotel, also on the left side of the street.

Dining

La Paranza - Casual restaurant serving Southern Italian cuisine at breakfast, lunch, and dinner times. Glass front wall provides ample sunlight for the white tile-covered interior. Lounge - Lounge located on hotel’s third floor. Serves alcoholic and soft drinks from morning to evenings. Windows on either side of the room offer views of the city to both sides of the building.
