Drive up the coast to the seaside resort of Plimmerton, and then continue on the coastal highway to the New Zealand chocolate factory for a snack break. Then, head to the Southward Vintage Car Museum, where you'll see rarities including Marlene Dietrich's Cadillac, and a Chicago gangster's armor-plated limo. After your museum tour, you'll return to Wellington via the Paeakariki Hill Summit, where you'll get spectacular views of Kapiti Island, the South Island, and the rural area of Pauatahanui.
