Spy City Tours™

Explore D.C.'s most “undercover” location! The International Spy Museum houses the world's largest collection of espionage artifacts and interactive spy exhibits. Uncover the secret history of spies and the tools of this all-but-hidden profession.

Blow the cover off some of the most notorious spy cases ever to unfold in the nation's capital! From World Wars to the Cold War to the present, this tour features some of the most spy-tingling sites in downtown Washington, D.C.

As a "recruit" in Spy School 101, be briefed by your "training officer" on over 25 key sites linked to intelligence triumphs, disasters, and mysteries; and hear tales of spies who've left their invisible mark on the city. See the French bistro where a seductive agent used her wiles to elicit secret information from her infatuated U.S. State Department target, as well as the pub where deadly traitor Aldrich Ames gave up the names of 25 American spies in the Soviet Union, ten of whom were then shot in the back of the head. High-level former intelligence officers provide video briefings and tradecraft secrets as the tour winds its way through the city.

The tour also includes a top-secret interactive mission in which “recruits” complete an undercover operation. Your spy skills of observation, evasion, and code-breaking are put to the test as you strive to outwit the enemy.

  • Admission to the International Spy Museum
