Devote a morning to getting to know Tokyo, one of the largest cities in the world. An overview of this fantastic place, hitting the highlights, will help you determine your in-depth activities.

Start at the top, with a panoramic view of the sprawling city from the Tokyo Tower Observatory. You’ll visit the beautiful outer garden of the Imperial Palace Plaza, home to the Japanese royal family, and Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest and most popular Buddhist temple in Tokyo.

Shopping is an adventure in Tokyo, and you’ll hit the hot spots, including Akihabara, Tokyo’s famed Electric Town, with a wide range of contemporary electric and electronic appliances including cameras, watches, computers, and traditional Japanese souvenirs. The tour also visits the Nakamise Shopping Arcade, a charming area lined with tiny food and souvenir shops.

You’ll tour through the Ginza, Tokyo's upmarket shopping and entertainment district, on the way to Tokyo’s prominent Tasaki Pearl Gallery.
