Begin with a guided tour of the Church of the Saviour on Blood. The façades and interior of this incredible cathedral are embellished with over 7,000 square metres of mosaic. Built to commemorate the death of Emperor Alexander II, you will see the exact spot where he fell.

Continue on to the State Russian Museum which traces the history of fine art from the 10th century to the present day. As you peruse exhibits, your guide explains the artistic genres that have emerged over the last two and a half centuries.
