Pacific Park Rainforest: Admission + Optional Transfer from San Jose
Sit back and relax on the drive to the beautiful Central Pacific Coast. Then, spend the day exploring the trails of the Pacific Park Rainforest. Be on the lookout vibrant plants, as well as white-faced monkeys, speckled owls, toucans, and many other native creatures. Note: The Pacific Park Rainforest is a 2-hour drive from San Jose.
In the Pacific Park Rainforest, massive tropical trees create a dense canopy that shades the forest floor, weaving a web of sun and shadow that crisscrosses the trail. Visit an Herbarium, which boasts a complete set of medicinal and aromatic plants. Colorful tropical fauna are part of the Heliconias Gallery, while the Snake Exhibit allows visitors to observe Costa Rica’s native snakes in a natural setting. The Pacific Park Rainforest Visitor Information Centre also offers educational information and lectures on various topics, including the environment, conservation efforts, and new discoveries.
The Aerial Tram Ride: Explore different levels of the rainforest from the comfort of a gondola. You'll even explore the treetops (or canopy)—considered the most difficult level to access and, until now, the least understood part of the forest.

Most facilities throughout the park are accessible to those using mobility aids, including the Visitor's Center, the Rain Forest Cafe, the gift shop, and the washrooms, which have large stalls equipped with grab bars.
Directions:
The Pacific Park Rainforest is located just outside the beach town of Jacó—on the Central Pacific Coast—just a few minutes from Carara Natinal Park and only 2 hours driving time from San Jose. There are signs along the entire route, and the main billboard is located 2.5 miles (4 km.) before the entrance. At the first entrance to Jacó, where the El Faro Restaurant is, continue three blocks along the main highway until you see a sign for the park on the left-hand side. From there it’s just 1.2 miles (3 km.) north, along the road known as Piedra Bruja.
