Explore more than 10 major exhibits and talk to marine specialists at the Maui Ocean Center—the only aquarium in the world dedicated to promoting understanding, wonder, and respect for Hawaii’s native marine life creatures.

This 3- acre marine park—the largest tropical reef aquarium in the Western Hemisphere—provides visitors with information, tours by marine naturalists, and exhibits on thousands of indigenous fish, sharks, turtles, stingrays, and more.

The center was named the “Top Rated Attraction in Hawaii” and one of the “50 Top-Rated Attractions” in the country by Zagat Survey’s US Family Travel Guide.

Exhibits include:

    Surge Zone Pounding waves provide juvenile fish shelter from predators.

    Living Reef Explore 40 smaller exhibits highlighting the beauty of Hawaii’s coral reefs, from the sunlit shallows to the clear edge of the deep reef.

    Turtle Lagoon See the ancient “mariners” who have survived for millions of years: the green sea turtles of Hawaii.

    Tide Pool An unforgettable, hands-on experience including sea stars, helmet shells, and other tide pool creatures.

    Hammerhead Harbor Come eye-to-eye with Hawaii’s most unusual sharks.

    Marine Mammal Discovery Center Life-sized models and interactive displays allow you to explore monk seals, dolphins, whales, and more.

    Hawaiians and the Sea A special exhibit detailing Hawaii’s special connection to the sea; featuring renderings of ancient aquaculture system, fishing equipment, and stories.

    Open Ocean Get a 240-degree view of Hawaii’s pelagic realm from inside an acrylic tunnel. You’ll see sharks, fish, and numerous other aquatic creatures living in a 750,000-gallon aquarium.

Redemption Details

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it is critical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Within 72 hours of booking this activity you will receive an e-mail from a Local Expert™ Activity Specialist. Your Hawaii Activity Specialist will confirm your chosen activity with the local operator and provide you with confirmation information. The e-mail will also contain directions to the nearest Local Expert™ desk, where you will exchange your voucher(s) for activity tickets. Please be prepared to show photo identification. If you do not receive an e-mail or have other questions, please contact Local Expert™ directly; the customer service phone number will appear on your voucher(s). Note: Your printed voucher is proof of your online booking; it is not a valid admission ticket.
