And it's impossible to overlook the jeepneys—colorful forms of public transport that evolved from World War II army Jeeps. Go to a local factory to see how these vehicles—exclusive to the Philippines—are assembled. Then venture up 2,250 feet above sea level to the People's Park in the Sky, the best vantage point for viewing a lake within an active volcano within a lake: Taal Lakes' Volcano Island, with its own Crater Lake inside.
