Cruise up the Navua River into Fiji's interior and visit Nukusere, a traditional river village. Along the way, marvel at the deep gorges and cascading waterfalls that carve their way through the tropical rain forest.

Take an approximately 20-km (12-mile) journey up the fast-flowing, shallow rapids of the Navua River on this day cruise to Nukusere (Fijian for "singing sands"), a river village in the interior. Upon disembarking, visitors are greeted with a welcome ceremony and kava drinking in the village meeting house. The remainder of the stay is casual, allowing plenty of time for mingling with the villagers, visiting the handicraft stalls, watching a performance of the traditional Taralala dance, and enjoying a Fijian lunch. Don't forget to go for a swim in the waterfalls!
