Kuranda and 4WD Rainforest Experience

View from Clohesy River Road Photo provided by Down Under Tours Australia

See a World Heritage rainforest from two perspectives: a 4WD trek through the forest and a ride on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway over the treetops.* You'll also visit picturesque Kuranda and return to Cairns via the Scenic Rail.

Ease into your day with a peaceful morning tea at Lake Morris. Then it's off for a 4WD trek on the Clohesy River Road—a section of rough terrain winding through a World Heritage rainforest/ Follow this with a drive along the Kennedy Highway, known for its views of the Northern Beaches. Your next stop is the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, your transportation to Kuranda. Listen to the noises of the rainforest surround the cable car as it moves silently over the trees. Once in Kuranda, there's plenty of time to explore the charming rainforest village before beginning the return journey on the aptly-named Kuranda Scenic Rail.*
