Embark Ocean Freedom, a 64-foot (19 1/2-m) luxury cruiser that comfortably accommodates up to 75 guests. The crew welcomes you with complimentary coffee and tea as you settle in for your cruise to the Great Barrier Reef. Ocean Freedom is the first boat to arrive at Upolu Cay, so you’ll set foot on its undisturbed beaches.

Soak up the sun and relax on the cay, swim in the shallow waters, or snorkel back to the main vessel, all under the constant vigil of three lookout staff who are ready to assist at any time. Explore the waters for the chance to glimpse the hard and soft corals of all colors and types, as well as giant clams, turtles, rays, sea cucumbers, and myriad other varieties of marine life. Diving also is available for both first-time and certified divers (optional extra).

Back on-board the ship departs for its second mooring on the reef. En route, sit down to a scrumptious lunch that includes both hot and cold dishes. Upon arrival, a marine naturalist leads a drift snorkel tour, where you can learn about the unbelievable flora and fauna that make the reef home. Refresh yourself with cheese and crackers, tropical fruit, and cake as you return back to Cairns after over five memorable hours spent exploring the reef.

Children younger than age 4 may participate for free. To visit the cay, you will be required to step in and out of a large dive tender; those with limited mobility may wish to consider another tour. Hotel transfers are available for an additional fee payable upon arrival (see redemption instructions). First-time and certified dives are available for an additional fee; you may book this option when calling to confirm reservation (see redemption instructions). Please ensure that any pre-booked divers do not have epilepsy, heart conditions, diabetes, or a history of asthma as these conditions will preclude them from diving. If you wish to book a dive, you will be required to fill out a medical questionnaire to confirm your fitness to dive.

After you book your activity, follow these 3 easy steps:
1. Print your voucher; locate the voucher in your travel confirmation e-mail or in the My Trips/My Itineraries link on the site.
2. Follow the redemption instructions on your voucher; it is critical to do this before you depart.
3. Take all vouchers with you; you must redeem one voucher per person.

Exchange your voucher for activity:
Reservation confirmation is required. Please contact Ocean Freedom at least 24 hours prior to your selected tour date to ensure your reservation, arrange hotel pick-up (if desired), and pre-book diving excursions (if desired). Upon pick-up or arrival at the marina, present your ID and voucher(s) in exchange for service.
