Snowshoe along an easy trail as a certified guide tells stories of Banff's indigenous peoples and the fur traders who once roamed the region. Clothes, tools, and techniques used by these hardy mountain dwellers also are on view. The tour culminates at the Paint Pots, a mineral deposit that once provided Native Americans with pigments for rock painting. Near the Paint Pots, you'll be rewarded with a distinctly Canadian treat—hot maple taffy.
