The adventure begins in the cool pre-dawn hours of the morning with a 15-minute drive to the launch site, located between Alice Springs and the MacDonnell Ranges. There's a quick briefing on flight routines, and then the balloon ascends for a 30-minute flight over the spinex grass and mulga scrub of the vast Outback. Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife, particularly the big red kangaroos. Once back on the ground, enjoy a four-course champagne breakfast at a nearby campsite.
