The Hilton Papagayo Resort has 202 guestrooms, including 71 two-room bungalows decorated in neutral tones with dark wood and wicker furniture and polished stone floors.

All rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, telephones, bathrooms with bathtub and shower, hair dryers, iron/ironing boards, MP3 radio, LCD flat-screen TVs with cable, in-room safes, coffeemakers and minibars.

All guestrooms are nonsmoking; smoking is only permitted on balconies.

Beginning December 1, 2008, this Hilton will not offer all-inclusive rate plans. No recreational activities are covered by the room rate on or after this date.

Hilton Papagayo Resort Costa Rica is set amid surf and sand in a popular marlin-fishing area in a bay in the Gulf of Papagayo. Amenities include four restaurants, two bars (including one swim-up bar), two snack bars, and one amphitheater, where a nightly dinner-theater presentation takes place.

Know Before You Go

For stays until Nov 30, 2008, the resort is all-inclusive and there is a charge of US$75 plus tax per night, per child (ages 4-12 years old) who stays in the same room as their parents or guardians.

Starting December 1, 2008, the resort will be offering the traditional options associated with a full service Hilton property rather than the current all-inclusive package.

Dining

La Cosecha - Main restaurant serving a buffet menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

El Dorado - Specialty restaurant serving creative Costa Rican cuisine. Dinner only; reservations required.

Grill del Fuego - This poolside spot serves a Continental breakfast and snacks from late morning and Italian specialties in the evening.

El Ritual - Bar, open late morning to early afternoon.

Premium beverages are not included; guests may purchase them for a $25 per person per day surcharge (fee subject to change).
