Renovation Notice
During the second half of 2007, both lobby lifts will be replaced. In addition, a soft refurbishment program will commence, involving the gradual replacement of selected furnishing in guestrooms. Some queen beds will also be replaced with two king single beds which can convert to one king bed. Minimal disruption is expected.
Recreation
Located on level 1 of the Sebel Pier One Sydney is the Workout Room comprising treadmill, exercise bike, cross training machine, free weights, and multi-purpose weight machine.
Immediately outside the hotel is a popular harbour-side walking and jogging path which extends around to Circular Quay, the Opera House, and the Royal Botanic Gardens. The entire route is approximately 3-5 km long (one-way), depending on the turnaround point selected. On the far side of the Royal Botanic Gardens is the 8-lane 50 metre heated saltwater Andrew (Boy) Charlton Pool, built on the harbour overlooking Woolloomooloo Bay. Several fitness centres are located within 1-2 km of the hotel.

A meticulously restored early 20th century Federation longshore shed, Sebel Pier One offers absolute waterfront at Walsh Bay on the fringes of the historic Rocks district. Fronting Hickson Road near the south-western pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, this boutique hotel features original exposed timber beams and other historic accents, in harmony with minimalist styling which does not sacrifice modern comforts and amenities. Floor-to-ceiling glass through much of the hotel frames picture-postcard harbour views and invites in maximum natural light and city night lights. Driving directions from Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD): Follow the “city” signs from the airport via General Holmes Drive, where the Eastern Distributor commences. Take this (toll road with charge of AU$4.50 paid on exit) and after approximately 1 km take the Kings Cross exit. Proceed up William Street and turn right into College Street (the Australian Museum will be on the immediate left at the intersection). Once turning into College (Hyde Park will be on the left) proceed past St Marys Cathedral. Turn right at lights into Macquarie Street. Turn left at the fifth set of lights (Bridge Street) and proceed straight up to the major intersection with George Street. Turn right and then continue down George Street through The Rocks for approximately 0.5 km (with the Museum of Contemporary Art and Circular Quay on the right). Cross over the traffic lights at Argyle Street and then turn next on the right into Hickson Road. Follow the road for approximately 0.5 km, under the Harbour Bridge. The Sebel Pier One Sydney is almost immediately on the right. Pull up outside the hotel where concierge staff will attend to the vehicle.
