Hotel Information: Topped by a multi-coloured, electric star, this two-building hotel and entertainment complex brings a bit of Hollywood and a touch of Las Vegas to Darling Harbour. Two theatres host plays and musicals frequented by families, theatre buffs, and couples, while Sydney’s largest casino welcomes casual and serious gamers alike. Located across from Pyrmont Bay Marina and adjacent to Darling Harbour, Star City continues the water theme with multiple indoor and outdoor fountains. Although busy with its many guests, the hotel area of the complex has secured access to guestroom floors.
Amenity highlights: Palm trees and a large rock ‘mountain’ generate a tropical feel in the main building’s 145,000-square metre gaming floor. Open 24 hours daily, it includes 200 gaming tables, Keno, and a sports bar. Entertainment of a different kind continues at shows, concerts, and events held at two theatres. More serene relaxation can be found at the day spa, which offers star-themed treatments, or a stroll along the scenic Panorama Walk, which gives views of the city skyline and Harbour Bridge.
Spa
Star Spa & Salon is located just across the footbridge that arches over the indoor/outdoor heated pool from the fifth-floor health club. It offers a bird’s eye view of the Sydney skyline across Darling Harbour, plus a pedicure station, tandem spa treatment room for couples, and a range of aromatherapy products and star-themed spa treatments.
