Location Details

Sydney International Airport (SYD): Approximate driving time is 15-20 minutes, allowing for traffic congestion at peak times, and distance is 12 km.

Getting there: The easiest routes from the airport to the hotel are by car, taxi, or shuttle bus. While St James railway station is located across the road from the hotel, the many stairs and the absence of a lift (elevator) make this option rather challenging for guests with more than one light bag. Rental cars are available online. Click the links below for instructions/details.

Getting around: Taxis, buses, trains, and ferries offer the most efficient and economical modes of transportation to destinations in and around the city. An integrated public transportation system allows users to purchase one ticket for multiple transportation options (such as a train ticket to Bondi Junction, plus a bus ticket to Bondi Beach). Fees range by mode of transportation, but few are more than AU $10 per trip. An inner-city monorail is also available for AU $4. St. James Station (trains) is just across from the hotel and the monorail station is approximately two blocks from here. All fees are subject to change without notice.

Driving directions: Follow the signs to City Centre. From South Dowling Street, enter the Eastern Distributor tunnel and then take the Kings Cross exit and turn left into William Street. William Street becomes Park Street after approximately 0.5 km (after crossing College Street, where the Australian Museum is on the left). Hyde Park can then be viewed on both sides of the road for one block. Turn right into Elizabeth Street; Sheraton on the Park is approximately 100 metres on the left. Look for the five-metre-high bronze Angels of Hospitality and turn into the semi-circular driveway, where the valet parking service will provide assistance.
