Radisson Plaza Hotel Sydney is located in a 13-storey Italianate-style building, which was constructed in 1855 from sandstone hauled from the Hawkesbury quarry. It was home to the Fairfax newspaper empire in the late 1800s and retains several original features. Today it includes a health club with fitness centre, indoor lap pool, a steam room, and two dedicated rooms for massage and beauty treatments. There are also eight conference and meeting rooms and a business centre. Internet access is high speed (surcharge) in the business centre and the conference rooms.

Six of the conference/meeting rooms are located on a dedicated function floor on the lower ground level. The Marble Room is 196 square metres and can be divided into three smaller rooms. The Press Room is 97 square metres and can also be divided into three smaller rooms. Audiovisual equipment is available (prices on application). Two rooms on the mezzanine level are the former offices of Sir Warwick and Sir James Fairfax, from the time when the Fairfax newspaper empire operated on the premises in the 1800s. These heritage rooms cater for up to 40.
Business centre: Located on the mezzanine level, the business centre has three computer terminals with high-speed Internet access (surcharge). Faxing, photocopying, and some secretarial services (all surcharge) are also available.

The domestic rail station is located directly between T2 and T3 Terminals and is accessible via the arrivals level. The international rail station is located at the northern end of the terminal and is accessible from the arrivals level. At Wynyard Station, take the George Street exit and turn left down George Street. After one block, cross George Street to Hunter Street (on the right) and follow Hunter Street for one block. The hotel is on the corner of Pitt, O’Connell, and Hunter Streets.

Driving directions from SYD: Exiting Kingsford Smith Airport, turn right onto General Holmes Drive and follow the posted signs to the city along Southern Cross Drive. At South Dowling Street take the Eastern Distributor until the Macquarie Street exit. Cross over Macquarie Street and continue along Bent Street until making a left turn into O’Connell Street. The hotel is on the right at Hunter Street. (Note: there is a charge for using the Eastern Distributor; rental cars may have e-tags.)
