Recreation

Across the road is Manly Beach; the more sheltered Shelly Beach, popular with families, is a scenic 0.5 km walk from the hotel. A 0.5-km walk down the pedestrian-only Corso (plaza) ends at a harbourside public saltwater pool.

The Manly to Spit Bridge scenic, 10-km trail offers harbour views as it winds through several coves and parks. Regular bus services operate between The Spit and Manly to transport walkers and joggers back to their point of origin.

Getting there: The easiest routes from the airport to the hotel are by car, taxi, or shuttle. Rental cars are available online. Click the links below for instructions/details.

Driving directions from SYD: Rental cars are available online. Exit airport and follow signs to the city along Southern Cross Drive. Stay in middle or right lane and enter Eastern Distributor tunnel. Toll applies at northern end of tunnel. Follow into Sydney Harbour Tunnel. On exiting tunnel, move to left lanes of expressway (following signs to Manly) and exit expressway up to the T-junction with Falcon Street at traffic lights. Turn right onto Military Road; follow it for approximately 4 km through Neutral Bay, Cremorne, and Mosman. Cross The Spit bridge (marinas on both sides). Stay in right lane and turn right onto Sydney Rd. Proceed straight to Manly (approximately 3 km). Turn right onto Belgrave Street. A T-junction, turn left onto East Esplanade. Turn left onto Victoria Parade and proceed to end of street, facing ocean. Turn right; the hotel will be on the right side.

Instructions: A taxi queue awaits a short distance from the airport arrivals area. Please inform the taxi driver that the hotel is located opposite the southern side of Manly Beach (near the Surf Club).

Instructions: Shuttle services to northern Sydney run regularly throughout the day and evening. They can be arranged on arrival at both the domestic and international terminals. Guests should proceed to the Information Desk on the arrivals level and ask for assistance. The hotel’s front desk can organise a shuttle-bus transfer from the hotel to the airport for approximately AU$30 per person. Guests must book at least one day in advance, or earlier, if possible.
