Located within the health club and spa center, Spa at Shangri-La Hotel, Surabaya offers a range of treatment therapies using traditional health and beauty ritual techniques. Created as an exclusive retreat for busy executives, the spa offers a variety of treatments, which include Rejuvenating for skin contour and balance, Global Traveler, ideal for jet-setters, and Maduranese Harmony, a popular treatment for releasing stress.
Spa at the Shangri-La is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM (last order at 9 PM).
Rejuvenating (2 hours):
Using an avocado body scrub, known for its moisturizing and anti-aging properties, this treatment includes a lotion wrap, bath, and final application of a body moisturizer. The treatment is designed to restore skin balance and improve firmness.
Global Traveler (1 hour, 30 minutes):
Ideal for jet-setters, this treatment begins with a head and scalp massage, followed by an eye treatment. It concludes with either a Duo or Stone massage.
Maduranese Harmony (2 hours):
Meant to refresh the skin and stimulate blood circulation, this treatment offers a choice of body scrubs made from plants and herbs. Guests can relax in a natural mineral bath before experiencing a Maduranese-style massage, which uses aromatic essential oils blended to suit individual needs.
Duo Massage (1 hour;1 hour, 30 minutes):
Increasing flexibility and improving well-being of the body, mind, and soul, this massage is conducted through the coordinated movements of two therapists.
Warmed Stone Massage (1 hour):
Inspired by traditional Java rituals, which are known for a hands-on healing approach to relieving stress and restoring vitality, this treatment incorporate ancient massage techniques applied with long, kneading strokes. Volcanic stones are heated in oils and placed on pressure points to further relieve stress.
