Hotel Information: This eight-story hotel was purpose-built by Sheraton in 1971 and was completely renovated in late 2007, and has always aimed to cater for the tourist visitor and the international business traveler alike. The elegant lobby is designed by the New York based designer Alexandra Champalimaud. With a combination of white marble and dark wood Alexandra is hoping to bring back the glamour of the 1940s. Guests are often drawn to the huge armchairs by the fireplace that warms the lobby.
Amenity highlights: The hotel’s business facilities are among the best in Scandinavia and include 15 flexible meeting rooms, the Link @ Sheraton business center, and wireless Internet access. Guests can also relax in the sauna or enjoy a massage. The Sheraton threesixty° bar and restaurant provide the dining options, while cool drinks are available in the bar.
Insider tip: Gamla Stan (Old Town) is just a ten-minute walk over the bridge opposite the hotel’s entrance. The best time to visit is in the late afternoon, when guests can take in the Royal Palace and the Cathedral during daylight. Visitors can then sample some of the excellent bars and restaurants, which come to life in the early evening.

The Sheraton Stockholm Hotel has 465 guestrooms with Scandinavian-style decor, all of which have high-speed Internet access (surcharge), satellite TV, voicemail, and climate control. All guestrooms feature Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Beds. Like the rest of the hotel the rooms have been designed by the NY designer Alexandra Champalimaud. One floor is designated for smoking rooms.

The Sheraton has more meeting and conference space than any other hotel in Scandinavia. There are a total of 15 flexible meeting and conference rooms, the mezzanine level with 13 rooms and with a separate lobby and then an additional two new rooms at the entrance floor. The 12-seat wood-paneled boardroom has large black leather swivel chairs. The largest of the rooms can accommodate 280 for a banquet, and the conference floor can hold 450 people in total (a total area of 1,060 square meters). There is also a business center and complimentary wireless Internet access in the meeting rooms and the lobby bar.
