Rooms

This resort has 40 guestrooms, all of which feature custom-designed rattan and bamboo furniture, fine cotton bed linens, richly colored fabrics, balconies or patios, and original artwork. Rooms are free from the intrusion of TVs and phones (both are available in the designated public areas of the resort).

The resort’s 135 acres include a freeform swimming pool with cascading waterfalls, nearby walking trails, and non-motorized water sports such as snorkeling. Services available for an additional charge include private picnic lunches, deep-sea fishing excursions, scuba diving, and boat trips to the nearby world-renowned Tobago Cays.

Policies

For stays less than seven nights, the air-transfer fee is US$350 in the Winter and US$330 in the Summer; credit card confirmation is required. Tickets will be collected upon arrival in Barbados. Guests will not clear customs in Barbados, but will proceed to the inter-island flight desk where they will be met and assisted by a Palm Island representative. The luggage allowance is 44 pounds per person. Guests will clear customs on the Union Island flight and proceed to the boat jetty for the transfer to Palm Island (transfer is included). Guests will be advised of their departure time and transferred to the airport by Palm Island personnel. Latest arrival time to Barbados is 4 PM to connect to flights transferring to Palm Island the same day. Guests failing to arrive for check in, resulting in an overnight hotel stay in Barbados, will be booked onto the next available flight. Missed connections and amendments may incur additional charges. Cancellations will incur full costs. Guests should pack a carry-on bag because luggage may not arrive at Palm Island at the same time of guests' arrival.

This resort does not allow children under the age of 16.

Cancellations for travel during holiday seasons will result in full forfeiture of resort stay (no refund).
Cancellations for all other travel dates made three days prior to travel will result in full forfeiture of resort stay (no refund).
Guests are asked to wear shoes and cover bathing suits while in the restaurants. After 6:30 PM, shirts with collars and short or long sleeves (no t-shirts or tank tops), slacks, or tailored Bermuda-length shorts are appropriate for men. For women, dresses, skirts, slacks, culottes, or tailored Bermuda-length shorts are acceptable (but please, no “short shorts” or cutoffs). In the evenings, it is inappropriate for either men or women to wear jeans.

Dining

Sunset Beach Restaurant and Bar - The Sunset is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and serves Continental cuisine. Room service is available for Continental breakfast and afternoon tea. Royal Palm Restaurant - Serves morning beverages and pastries for early risers; features island barbecue, evening entertainment, and adjacent bar.
