Getting there: Caneel Bay, a Rosewood Resort, maintains an air-conditioned reception lounge in the airport's baggage-claim area. Guests are offered drinks, checked in, and transported to the resort's boat for the 45-minute run from St. Thomas to St. John. The roundtrip fare is $90 per adult and $42.50 per child ages 4-12. (Fares subject to change.) Fares also cover unlimited boat rides from St. John to St. Thomas during guests' stays.
Getting around: Guests may ride Caneel Bay's complimentary boat daily to St. Thomas. Taxis are stationed at the resort. Public ferries operate between Cruz Bay on St. John and Red Hook on St. Thomas' East End. Public ferries also operate between Red Hook and Charlotte Amalie. The resort also offers boat trips (surcharges) to Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands three times weekly.
