Hotel Information: Because it's on flat ground and comprises only 22 acres and 170 guestrooms in low-rise buildings, this resort attracts more middle-age couples than most Sandals resorts. (Couples must be at least 18 years of age.) Coziness prevails from flower-painted beams, to garden botanical signs, to hammocks/hammock chairs, to bright banquettes and overstuffed chairs in an open-air lobby.

Amenity highlights: A 1,000-foot beach with thatch shades runs along calm-water Choc Bay and features a view of Martinique. Set adjacent to a boardwalk above the beach, one large freeform pool serves as an activity center and is paired with a 10-person spa tub. A second pool meanders under bridges through an expansive terracotta tile sundeck and is paired with a 12-person spa tub. A third spa tub--lined in pink marble--accommodates 20 and offers a sunset view.

Sandals Halcyon Beach All Inclusive offers 170 guestrooms in one- and two-story pastel buildings (no elevators) with wood-shingle roofs draped with thick mats of flowering plants spaced among trim lawns, palm trees, and tropical gardens. Large patios and balconies with fieldstone walls include two-chair dining sets. Windows between patios and balconies open, combining with ceiling fans to provide a cooling alternative to room air conditioning.

Decor features bleached-wood ceilings, terrazzo-tile floors with Oriental area rugs, pastel walls, cappuccino-colored furniture including four-poster king beds, and floral bedspreads. Tile bath suites include shower/tub combinations and vanity alcoves.

Recreation

Snorkeling gear, kayaks, Sunfish and Hobie Cat sailboats, Surf Bikes, and windsurfers are all available daily. Scuba diving trips to nearby reefs are also included. Available for extra charges are scuba diving excursions to Martinique about 90 minutes away by Sandals' dive boat.

Sandals/Beaches resorts offer a scuba diving resort certification course for $70 per guest. Guests who successfully complete the course will receive scuba-diving certification good for up to one year at any of the Sandals/Beaches resorts.

Land-based sports include tennis on two lighted artificial grass courts, basketball, volleyball, lawn chess, and shuffleboard.

Know Before You Go

All Sandals, Beaches, and Royal Plantation resorts are nonsmoking in any enclosed areas. Examples are bars, restaurants, lobbies, conference facilities, retail facilities, and nightclubs. Smoking is permitted in all open areas and designated rooms.

This resort accepts only adult couples age 18 or older. No singles or triples accepted.

No tipping is permitted.

St. Lucia's departure tax is not included in the All-Inclusive Plan and must be paid in cash at the airport.

Upon check-in, guests will be asked to tender a credit card to activate their room folio. All purchases (except those paid for with a credit card) at resort outlets will be signed to the room folio. Cash will not be accepted for incidental charges at any resort outlet.
If a credit card is unavailable, a cash deposit must be left at the front desk/concierge in order to activate the room folio. Travelers’ checks will be treated like cash and therefore can only be used at the front desk.

The hotel has a 100% cancellation, no show, and short stay penalty. Because unforeseen circumstances arise, travel insurance is strongly recommended.
