Kayaking, windsurfing, and boogie boarding in the sea are among the popular activities at this resort. Guests can also try their hand at an introductory scuba diving lesson, play a game of tennis, ride horses (reservations required) or practice golf swings on a putting green and practice range.

A full round of golf (surcharges) can be played five km (three miles) away at El Tamarindo Golf Course, where the game is shot both by the ocean and in the jungle. An alternative is Careyes Golf Course, 20 km (12.5 miles) from the hotel. Other off-site activities include jungle riverboat rides through the mangroves and whale watching in the winter. These activities can be arranged by hotel staff; all incur surcharges.
