Rooms

There are 80 guestrooms at The Scarlet Hotel, across three levels in the front tower and two levels in the main building. The pastel decor, white bed linen, and earth-toned draperies give guestrooms the suggestion of a European flavor. Two elevators access the floors, and all guests receive a nonalcoholic welcome drink on arrival. All guestrooms provide the following complimentary amenities: bottled water, toiletries, CD and DVD players, and high-speed Internet access. A pillow menu allows guests to select from either goose tempur or foam pillows. There is a DVD and CD library available for guest use at reception. Smoking is not permitted in guestrooms, except for rooms that have balconies.

Recreation

Concierge services may assist guests with off-site recreation including fitness classes such as aerobics and yoga. Golf clubs within 15 km (9 miles) of the hotel allow visitors and nonmembers to play weekdays. The Jurong Bird Park, approximately 10 km (6 miles) from the hotel, offers the second largest bird park in the world, with thousands of birds in various habitats, and walks and tours are available.
A full service spa, “Earth Sanctuary”, is located on Club Street within one block of the hotel, and guests of The Scarlet Hotel receive a 20 percent discount for use at the Spa. Hotel reception can arrange this for guests.

There are 80 guestrooms in The Scarlet Hotel, all nonsmoking, with elevator access to the Tower and main building. Gift shopping is available in the front part of the lobby, with a grocery outlet, and a nail salon. Guests have access to a rooftop spa tub, and the fitness room. Limousine service may be arranged, and concierge services may assist guests with off-site recreation. The hotel also offers delivery of guest's choice of beverage with the morning wakeup call.

Self parking:
SG$1−$5 (US$1–$2) per hour between 7 AM and 10:30 PM. Parking is free between 10:30 PM and 7 AM. The public car park is located directly across the street from the hotel.

Getting there: Guests may travel by taxi, or hotel airport transfer to the hotel. Rental cars are not recommended for travelers unfamiliar with this area (click the links below for instructions/details).

Train schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): The MRT station is located in Terminal 2. Guests are to take the train directly to the Tanjong Pagar Station and depart. The station is situated on Wallich Street intersecting with Maxwell Road, approximately three blocks from the hotel. Guests may take a taxi from the station to the hotel for a fare.

Instructions: Taxis are situated directly outside Arrivals, and are available 24 hours a day. Guests should advise the driver to travel the East Coast Expressway, left onto Rochor Road then right onto Victoria Road, left onto River Valley Road North prior to the bridge over Singapore River, and right onto South Bridge Road. Erskine Road is approximately 3 km (1.5 miles) to the left. The hotel entrance is on the left.

Schedules and directions (subject to change without notice): Six-seater MaxiCab taxis operate airport shuttle service between the airport and the hotel, and anywhere in the central business district. Guests are to advise the driver of the hotelÂ’s location in Erskine Road off Maxwell Road, across the Singapore River.

Dining

Desire - With tones of red throughout the décor, the restaurant offers casual dining with an à la carte menu for evening dining, and set breakfast and lunch. The restaurant may be hired for private functions. Breeze - This rooftop restaurant provides casual menu selections including kebabs, and barbeque-style foods. Open from evening till very early next morning.

Bold - The bar is found in the lobby. It offers light bar snack foods with drinks, and is open from early afternoon till late evening.
