Recreation

Located in an annex building, the on-site Yuan Shan Club is a members’ health club that offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Complimentary facilities for guests include a fitness center with cardio equipment, resistance machines, and free weights, as well as an Olympic-size pool with dive-board, a jet spa, sauna, playground, ping-pong tables, and billiards room. An eight-lane bowling alley, and tennis courts with personal training, are available for a surcharge.

Located at the back of the hotel is a park with several temples and pavilions. Reception staff can provide details for walking and hiking trails. The Taipei Municipal Children's Recreation Center is a theme park 5 km (3 miles) away. It offers amusement rides such as Ferris wheel, carousel, bumper cars, and electric train. Golden Dragon Restaurant - Serves Cantonese cuisine. Specializes in Dim Sum lunch. À la carte dinner menu specializing in seafood. Asian-style décor and dark wooden furniture. Large windows with views of Keelung River. The Grand Garden - European-inspired décor. Silver service. Floor-to-ceiling windows. Serves all buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. International cuisine includes seafood, sushi, and roast beef.

Yuan Yuan Restaurant - Open kitchen concept. Northern cuisine with selection of soups, noodles, steamed dumplings, and buns. Traditional tea house-style with wooden square tables, stools, and Asian cutlery. Open for lunch and dinner.

Chi Lin Café - Casual restaurant for light snacks and baked goods, with coffee and tea. Full-length windows with views of Keelung River. Open late morning ‘til night.

Lobby Lounge - Located in the palatial lobby. Tables and wicker chairs between red columns. Serves light meals and English afternoon teas. Live classical Chinese music. Open from morning ‘til late.
