The Grand Hotel offers 427 guestrooms in a 12-story Chinese-palace-style building with two wings. Each room has a traditional red wooden balcony offering a mountain backdrop with river and city views in the Chi-Lin Wing, or garden views in the Golden Dragon Wing. Recreation

Located in an annex building, the on-site Yuan Shan Club is a members’ health club that offers a variety of recreational opportunities. Complimentary facilities for guests include a fitness center with cardio equipment, resistance machines, and free weights, as well as an Olympic-size pool with dive-board, a jet spa, sauna, playground, ping-pong tables, and billiards room. An eight-lane bowling alley, and tennis courts with personal training, are available for a surcharge.

Located at the back of the hotel is a park with several temples and pavilions. Reception staff can provide details for walking and hiking trails. The Taipei Municipal Children's Recreation Center is a theme park 5 km (3 miles) away. It offers amusement rides such as Ferris wheel, carousel, bumper cars, and electric train. The park also displays traditional games and toys from yesteryear, as well as a science center. For golfers, the concierge can arrange for trips to the 18-hole New Tamsui Golf Course about 30 km away (19 miles) away or the 27-hole Linkou Golf and Country Club about 40 km (25 miles) away.

Taiwan Chiang Kai-Shek International Airport (TPE): Approximate travel time is 50 minutes and distance is 45 km (28 miles).

Golden Dragon Restaurant - Serves Cantonese cuisine. Specializes in Dim Sum lunch. À la carte dinner menu specializing in seafood. Asian-style décor and dark wooden furniture. Large windows with views of Keelung River. The Grand Garden - European-inspired décor. Silver service. Floor-to-ceiling windows. Serves all buffet meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. International cuisine includes seafood, sushi, and roast beef.

Yuan Yuan Restaurant - Open kitchen concept. Northern cuisine with selection of soups, noodles, steamed dumplings, and buns. Traditional tea house-style with wooden square tables, stools, and Asian cutlery. Open for lunch and dinner.

Chi Lin Café - Casual restaurant for light snacks and baked goods, with coffee and tea. Full-length windows with views of Keelung River. Open late morning ‘til night.

Lobby Lounge - Located in the palatial lobby. Tables and wicker chairs between red columns. Serves light meals and English afternoon teas. Live classical Chinese music. Open from morning ‘til late.

The 60’s Lounge - Earthy palette of brown and deep burgundy furnishings and armchairs. Offers cocktails, bar, and wine menu. Open evening ‘til late.

Poolside café - Located next to the swimming pool. Serves drinks and light snacks.
