Hotel Information: Named for the king who commissioned its construction in 1928, Hotel Alfonso XIII was originally built to house heads of state and high-ranking guests of the 1929 Great Ibero-American Exhibition. A Mudéjar Revival palace, the property encircles an enormous central patio, and is a showcase of marble floors, wood-paneled ceilings, Moorish lamps, ceramic hand-painted tiles, and antique furnishings.
