The Guerlain Spa offers an exclusive range of beauty treatments and massages. Treatments include skin care therapies, advanced hydrotherapy, acupressure, and body wraps and polishes. Prior to all treatments, guests are pampered with a 15-minute foot therapy. Special couples’ rooms and VIP suites are provided. Facilities include 10 treatment rooms, five footbath rooms, a Vichy shower room, beauty room, hydro-bath room, and a relaxation lounge.

Recreation

The Shilla offers a wide range of recreational facilities, including a fitness center with 258 pieces of aerobic and weight equipment, outdoor and indoor 25-meter (82-foot) swimming pools, a 25-meter (82-foot) diameter children’s pool, and an indoor golf range with five teeing grounds covering 27.5 meters (30 yards). Professional trainers are on hand to offer coaching and advice. Two jogging tracks, of 1.8 km (one mile) and three km (1.8 miles), have been mapped through a forested section of the mountain on the hotel grounds. Aerobic and yoga programs are also offered. Solar, steam, and dry sauna rooms, as well as a spa tub and a calcium carbonate artificial spa, are available. An anti-aging clinic, a branch of La Clinique de Paris, offers customized programs for health enhancement. Getting there: Taxis provide the quickest and most convenient option for reaching The Shilla Hotel. Shuttle transfers to the airport can be arranged by the hotel. Rental cars are not recommended for travelers unfamiliar with this area.

Seoul Gimpo International Airport (GMP): Approximate travel time is 50 minutes and distance is 29 kilometers (18 miles).

Getting there: Taxis provide the quickest and most convenient option for reaching The Shilla Hotel. The fare for Deluxe Taxi is KRW50,00 (US$52-53) while Standard Taxi is KRW50,00 (US$42-43).

Train details

Approximate travel time from the airport to the hotel: 70 minutes

Instructions: Take subway line 5 at the airport station and transfer to subway line 3 at the Jongno 3-ga Station. Get off at the Dongdaeipgu Station.

The Park View - International buffet restaurant offering views of wooded Mt. Namsan. Continental and Asian dishes served à la carte and from a buffet. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The Library - Bar with four differently themed settings: Library Bar with hearth and books, offering single malt whiskies; Premium lounge with live jazz and extensive wine selection; VIP Bar for private meetings in a relaxed and dignified setting; and the communal bar area. In addition to a wide range of beverages, the bar stocks 70–80 types of malt whiskies and a special selection of wines. Open from mid morning to very late night.

Pastry Boutique - Has both a bakery section and a deli section. Offers a variety of freshly baked pastries, cakes, and bread, as well as sandwiches, salads, and chocolate. Open from early morning to mid evening.
