The two-storey atrium lobby has tiled floors, indoor trees, and ambient lighting, as well as a stone wall feature with cascading water. There are numerous golf courses in the vicinity of Seoul, including Asiana Country Club (25 km/15 miles), Shilla Country Club (28 km/17 miles) and New Seoul Country Club (30 km/18miles). At Yangpyung Lake, 30 minutes drive from the hotel, guests can enjoy water skiing, sailing, jet skiing, parasailing and banana boating. Incheon International Airport (ICN): Approximate travel time is 90 minutes and distance is 75 km (47 miles).
Getting there: KAL Limousine Buses and taxis provide the most convenient way of reaching the hotel. The hotel offers a pick-up car service from the airport. Rental cars are not recommended for travellers unfamiliar with this area.
Getting around: Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Seoul offers a complimentary bus shuttle service from the hotel to nearby Gangnam subway station at 8 AM, 11:30 AM, 14:30 PM and 18:30 PM. Seoul has an excellent subway system that provides the fastest way to get around the city, although it can be very crowed during rush hours. The eight lines are colour coded and display maps, as well as train announcements, which are in English and Korean. Trains operates every few minutes, with tickets costing KRW600 (US$0.60) inside Service Area One and KRW700 (US$0.75) inside Service Area Two. There is also a bus system that operates from early morning until midnight, but this is more difficult to navigate for those unfamiliar with the city. Taxis are KRW 1900 (US$2) for the first 2 metrekm and KRW 100 (US$0.10) for each 144 metres thereafter, but attract a 20% surcharge after midnight. Deluxe taxis (with black and yellow signs) cost more, but accept credit cards and offer receipts. Some of the taxis of both types have a Free Interpretation sign on the door, and provide a phone interpretation service in English and Japanese.

Schedule and directions (subject to change without notice): A limousine shuttle bus travels from the airport to a stop at Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel every 20 to 30 minutes from early morning to late evening. Purchase tickets at the Transport Information Counter in the arrivals hall, or at the bus stop itself, which is directly outside the terminal building. It departs from Stand 11A (Bus No.4).

The adjacent Walkerhill Casino is not open to Korean visitors. Overseas visitors may enter without charge. Pets (other than seeing-eye dogs) are not permitted at the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill Hotel. Tipping is not generally expected in Korea, although guests are welcome to tip for outstanding service. There are no lifeguards on duty at the swimming pools. Adults should remain with children under 12 years of age at all times.
