Hotel Information: The 1918 brick façade reflects the building’s origins as a boardinghouse for Ford Motor Plant employees. A wide, sweeping staircase overlooks the lobby, (no elevator) which showcases original terrazzo floors and mahogany wainscoting. MarQueen Hotel has attracted upscale business and leisure travelers with its blend of historic character, contemporary convenience, and proximity to the Seattle Center and downtown.
Amenity highlights: Evening wine receptions are held twice weekly in the lobby. Across the street guests can work out in the fitness room, treat themselves to a variety of health and beauty services at the spa, and make use of the conference center. Insider tip: Less than two blocks from the hotel is the Seattle Center, site of the 1962 World’s Fair and the iconic Space Needle. Rooms feature 10-foot ceilings, area rugs on original hardwood floors, live plants, and cherry-finish Queen Anne-style furnishings. Large windows face the street and surrounding neighborhood, or a wall painted with a garden mural. Tile bathrooms provide designer toiletries and shower/tub combinations.
