Hotel Information: This fully restored 1888 mansion, built in a Victorian-Romanesque style, faces historic Forsyth Park, one of Savannah’s most beloved green spaces. Doors with large Lalique crystal doorknobs open to a spacious lobby with marble columns, a high ceiling, and a sparkling chandelier. Beyond are a marble courtyard and a heated relaxation pool with a waterfall backdrop. The hotel is geared to couples, but children are welcome, as are business travelers.

Insider tip: The bestselling book Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil—a story about Savannah and its characters—is an industry in itself.
