Recreation
Rosario Resort is set on a small, scenic island in the San Juan Islands of Washington State where water sports are abundant and whale-watching is popular (several pods of Orca whales live in the area). The resort has several pools, tennis courts, and a water sports center, and the health club offers aerobics and yoga classes, among others. Rent a moped to explore the island or pick a hiking trail in Moran State Park, located in the backyard of the resort, from among more than 30 miles of trails. Mt. Constitution is the highest point on the island and offers a splendid view of Cascade Bay, the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the surrounding islands.

Property Amenities
This resort is centered around a mansion built by shipping magnate Robert Moran, which he constructed on Orcas Island when he was told that he had one year to live. The spot was chosen because of its natural beauty, and Moran and his family were able to enjoy it for many years as he survived, in quasi-retirement, far past the date set by his doctor. Rock Resorts has overhauled the sturdy mansion and built a complex around it, with a wonderfully indulgent full-service spa, several pools, additional guestrooms, and extensive banquet and meeting facilities.

Orcas Dining Room - This terraced restaurant with spectacular views of Cascade Bay is the resort’s main dining room. As such, it serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner each day. Try the famous Friday Night Seafood Buffet and the Sunday Champagne Brunch. Northwest and seafood-inspired fare.
Compass Dining Room - At this intimate, upscale restaurant guests can enjoy seasonal Northwest and French-inspired cuisine. The chef's four-course tasting menu with paired wines is a special treat.
Cascade Bar and Grill - For grilled dishes, deli sandwiches, and lighter fare, guests can drop by this casual café.
