From there, the atrium offers unobstructed views of the expansive Mediterranean-style lower lobby and lounge area and, beyond that, the Riverwalk.
Amenity highlights: Up on the roof, an outdoor pool is paired with a spa tub, bar, and glassed-in patio overlooking the city. Las Ramblas, the hotel’s restaurant, showcases Barcelona cuisine—including tapas, rotisserie specials, and paella—prepared in an open kitchen. Dining is available indoors or out on the sun-splashed patio facing the quiet side of the Riverwalk. The Hotel Contessa - Riverwalk Luxury Suites is completely non-smoking.
Insider tip: The Riverwalk is not just a great place to take a walk or a boat ride. About twice a week, couples exchange vows at a spot called the Marriage Island, located just behind the hotel. It’s especially romantic in December, when thousands of tiny lights decorate the trees. Reservations can be made with the city’s Parks and Recreation Department.
