Property Amenities

The Duke of Marlborough Hotel is situated on the waterfront in the historical town of Russell, in New Zealand’s picturesque Bay of Islands. Colonial in style, the hotel features two verandahs and a pergola (arbor) with an electric roof. One of the original buildings dates to the late 1930s and was a women’s accommodation block that was brought over from Cable Bay.

The small conference room can accommodate 30 boardroom style or 45 theatre style. The large conference room can accommodate 200 theatre style or 150 for a sit-down dinner. It includes fully serviced bar and entertainment area on deck with bay views. Photocopying, e-mail, fax, phone, and audiovisual equipment are available on request but need to be booked in advance.

Driving directions from Kerikeri Airport (KKE): En route to the airport, guests must take a car ferry. The car ferry is NZ$9 (AU$5–$15) one way. Extra passengers are NZ$1 each. The ferry is approximately 9 km from Russell and takes around 10 minutes to cross; it operates until 10 PM.

A complimentary Continental breakfast is provided each morning on the restaurant verandah. Duke of Marlborough Restaurant - Modern European and Asian cuisines. Fresh local seafood.
