Hotel Information: The octagonal-shaped stucco ceiling, lacquered banqueting table and ornate marble lobby makes quite an entrance for this historic, well-kept hotel. Built on Rome’s smartest street, Via Veneto, where it curves round a bend, the hotel has wide half-moon-shaped corridors, lit by chandeliers, as well as a grand, sweeping staircase. It is popular with corporate types and well-heeled international tourists.
Amenity highlights: Guests can kick-back in the full health spa with crystal and hot stone therapies, the antique-filled, high-ceilinged lounge with 1920s frescoes alternating with floor-to-ceiling windows, four large conference rooms and much of the original, grand hotel-era, 1920s decor.
Insider tip: Note the high society dames who swing their pearls and furs in the faces of white-tied admirers doffing their top hats on the walls of the Cadorin lounge. The Jazz Age artist Cadorin took 20 years to complete the series of floor-to-ceiling panels and drew his inspiration from sketching visitors who stayed or partied at the hotel between 1900 and 1920.

Dining
Terrazza Cadorin - Roman and regional Italian cuisine is served in a split-level yellow and white paneled conservatory which is decorated with classical stucco friezes, mirrored panels and a yellow marble floor. Natural light filters through the original 1920s stained glass ceiling. There is capacity for up to 60 guests on the stylish leather weave and wrought iron chairs. The speciality of the house is raviolo with ricotta and Taggiasca olives. Italian wine is particularly well represented on the long wine list. Breakfast is served here, as well as lunch and dinner.
Cadorin Lounge - The antique-clad Cadorin Lounge is lined with floor-to-ceiling windows with views across Via Veneto to the US Embassy opposite. The large grand piano in the corner is played every night when cocktails are served from the bar.
