Risoul is set in the heart of the Southern Alps at an altitude of 1,850 metres and along with the neighbouring village of Vars makes up the Domaine de la Foret Blanche. The area boasts 57 lifts over 174 kilometres of pistes that cater for all abilities but particularly beginner and intermediate. Other winter sports include snowboarding, tobogganing and snowshoeing.
