Hotel Information: A Pacific Northwest landmark, this hotel was built in 1909 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Remodeled in 2007, the hotel offers modern conveniences amid historical ambiance. The hotel added a west wing in 1923 to house the Portland Elks Lodge. The west wing takes its architectural cues from the Farnese Palace in Rome. Design incorporates a bell theme, visible in various parts of the building.

Insider tip: The hotel is directly across the street from the Galleria, which is the new home of the Western Culinary Institute.
