Hotel Equatorial Penang has 655 guestrooms across 12 floors and two wings (Main and Executive). Every guestroom has an individual balcony and is furnished in contemporary Western style. Facilities include high-speed Internet access; IDD/DID phones with bathroom extensions and voice mail; and satellite radio/TVs (English and Japanese) with premium channels, such as CNN, HBO, STAR, and various sports channels. Recreation

A fully equipped fitness center, aerobics studio, yoga classes, two squash courts and two tennis courts (both with floodlights), jogging tracks, the Bukit Jambul Country Club 18-hole international golf course, and a golf driving range and putting green provide guests with ample fitness opportunities. Recreational facilities include the outdoor swimming pool with waterfall and spa tub, a children’s outdoor swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. An extensive conference center comprises two grand ballrooms, 21 conference/meeting rooms, and a business center. Business center: Guests have 24-hour access to the business center, which offers three computer work stations; wireless Internet access; e-mail, fax, and photocopying facilities; and secretarial services. There are three meeting rooms that accommodate four, six, and 12 people respectively.

Conference/function rooms: 21 conference function rooms range in size from 30 square meters (323 square feet) to 395 square meters (4,252 square feet) and can accommodate from 9–400 guests. The larger of the two ballrooms covers 1,186 square meters (12,766 square feet) and can accommodate up to 1,700 people for a theatre-style presentation. The Exhibition Level is 4,100 square meters (44,132 square feet) in size and can hold approximately 240 exhibition stands or accommodate 3,000 people for a banquet. Equipment includes a rostrum with microphone, laser pointer, TV monitors, cordless neck and hand microphones, projectors (slide, overhead, LCD panel, and Barco Vision), VCRs, video camera, CD player, and a multi-translation system.
