Insider tip: The Tombs of the Kings archaeological site is visible just a short distance from the hotel. Guests are ideally placed to go there during the early morning or late afternoon, thereby avoiding the worst of the crowds and taking advantage of the best light for photographs. A little-known side exit leads directly back to the hotel, saving a long walk around or the need to take a car.
