Hotel Information: Families, groups, and golfers are perfectly suited for this gated complex with a community feel, located in a residential area just north of Palm Desert. Individual condos are located within two-story, tile-roofed buildings painted in pale desert tones with a Southwestern ambience.
Amenity highlights: Two pools, one by the clubhouse and one on the opposite side of the complex, are complemented by spa tubs. A nine-hole putting green sits next to the clubhouse, a popular gathering spot for groups and families. Guests may use barbecue grills and picnic benches at the pool area and scattered throughout the grounds.
Special Check-in Instructions
There are no Sonoran Suites representatives on site. After booking, a Sonoran Suites representative will contact guests by phone to gather e-mail information. Guests will then receive an e-mail with driving directions and a code to be punched into the complex's gate.
All guests must call the hotel at least 48 hours prior to arrival to receive check-in instructions. Guests can contact the office using the number on the reservation confirmation received after booking via this Web site.
A valid credit card and driver's license must be presented at check-in to receive a lock box and check-in instructions.
Rooms
The Sonoran Suites are located in a gated, Southwestern-style apartment complex of two-story, tile-roofed buildings (no elevators). Contemporary Southwestern decor includes ceramic-tile entryways, fireplaces (in most units), and Mexican pottery. Ceiling fans in the master bedrooms and living rooms complement the air conditioning.
Each condo comprises two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a laundry room, and a patio or balcony with outdoor furniture. Kitchens are fully equipped with cookware and dishes and include a four-burner gas range, a microwave oven, an ice-making refrigerator, a dishwasher, and a breakfast bar. Laundry rooms are equipped with full-sized washers and dryers.
For a surcharge, Sonoran Suites provides cribs, high chairs, strollers, car seats, and swings for families with infants. Basic cable is complimentary, but premium cable channels incur a surcharge.
One housekeeping visit is complimentary for a seven-day stay. Otherwise, housekeeping is available for a surcharge. All suites are nonsmoking, with smoking permitted only on patios and balconies. There is no charge for local calls, and telephones are equipped with answering machines.

The top-notch Desert Springs Golf Club is across the street. The Palm Springs area is home to dozens of other golf courses, including a Jack Nicklaus course and at least 10 within five miles.
